The much talked about and heavily promoted Dharma Productions venture Liger hit screens yesterday in the overseas markets. Starring youth sensation Ananya Panday and south breakout star Vijay Deverakonda the film has been creating massive buzz in the run up to its release. However, has the hypo surrounding Liger translated into box office numbers is the question.
In this box office report, we look at the collections of the Puri Jagannadh directed film Liger in the overseas markets. As per reports, the film has performed rather well in the overseas territories of Australia and New Zealand managing to draw in Rs. 45.87 lakhs from 58 screens and Rs. 2.64 lakhs from 20 screens respectively on Day 1.
With the film performing as per expectations, trade estimates paint an optimism view of the overall business of Liger in the days to come.
